What if the 2010 British election results in a hung parliament?

Who would get your vote if the election was held tomorrow ?

Crossrail today won crucial new backing from the Liberal Democrats as the Tories refused to rule out scaling back the project if they win power.
At the Lib Dem party conference last autumn, Treasury spokesman Vince Cable said the £16 billion cross-London scheme — due to open in 2017 — would not be a priority after the election.
But today Mr Cable, MP for Twickenham, told the Standard: “The Liberal Democrats are fully committed to the Crossrail project and we certainly have no plans to scrap it.
"However, as with all projects involving public sector money it is critical that Crossrail stays within its agreed budget.”
In a hung Parliament, the Lib Dems could have a critical say on major public expenditure decisions.
Mr Cable has said that a different funding mechanism may need to be found that is not so heavily reliant on the public sector.
The Conservatives are now the only major party refusing to lay out their policy on Crossrail.
David Cameron has said he wants the project to go ahead but that it will still be subject to a value-for-money analysis by shadow chancellor George Osborne.

@Gary Smith.

Still spouting this tripe about "no chance of forming the next government". As the article explains for the hard of thinking they are very likely to hold the balance of power and so could have a determining role in how finances are decided after the next election.

And yes, Vince Cable DID warn about the risks facing the UK, unlike the Tories' George Osborne, so you are totally wrong.

The Lib Dems can promise anything they like, they will NEVER be in power.

- Janicebyrne, sussex
Lib Dems can say anything as they have no chance of forming the next govt. There will be no hung parliament as Lib Dems vote in Scotland is in melt down. They are all things to all people and different things to different people in different regions. Cable the so called economic Guru ( didn't see the credit crunch tsunanmi coming) talks nonsense.
