KHOODEELAAR! told you so! And we told the Tower Hamlets Council 'full council' meeting in September 2007 so three years ago... Mihir Bose is calling the 2012 Stadium “legacy”-linked goings on a FARCE!

KHOODEELAAR! has a much better tactical and strategic answer to Gordon Brown's possible presentational dilemma: Quit faking. Start admitting the truth. Scrap Crossrail. And with it all the other wasteful scams that you are wrongly and unnecessarily wasting £Billions on. And ditch all those stupid slogans about stimulus. What is economically stimulating about a bankrupt corrupt schooling system that is condemning generations of young people into lives of desperation, aimlessness and delusion AND despair ? You talk about serious problem to society as threatened [in your script] by the UK Con Party. What about the scary future under the lies that you have been peddling about and at the expense of inner city East London? Extrapolate it across all the 'deprived' areas and you will see just how scary society. already has become. Quit being in denial about it Gordon.

Khoodeelaar! Told UK G Brown so! For six years and three months now. Starting at the beginning of February 2004. That Crossrail is a scam. That it is not the economically effective or priority answer to the transport needs of the people of London. That it is a ploy that the UK economy does not have to suffer from but will suffer from if he [G Brown] fails to pay attention to our evidential warning. Brown was at the UK treasury in February 2004. We said in February 2004 that the UK economy was likely to go into decline. We said it before brown ever said anything remotely similar. So we kept telling him this. We told Tony Blair the same. We told Alistair darling the same. Especially as darling was still at the department for transport. Did darling pay attention to what we said? No he did not. Did our warning come true? Yes it did. So comprehensively accurate had our analysis been that darling has yet to catch up with the extent and the details of our analysis, even through he ahs been given credit [!!!!!] By the London Financial Times for making some 'original' 'historic' statements about the UK economy. But brown didn't listen. Khoodeelaar! Is telling him again, for the n'th time. That he is wrong to fake, he is wrong to fabricate. He has been called a liar by the UK cons [='the conservative party'='the Tories']. We haven't so far. But he has peddled lies. The biggest lies is the one about “Crossrail brining benefits, most specifically, bringing jobs” Even more specifically, ‘bringing jobs bonanza to the East End of London!!! This is not a lie. This is a criminal offence. It is a criminal offence to claim that Crossrail is bringing or will bring jobs to the East End of London. And Gordon Brown’s scriptwriters must stop him from ever again saying this, uttering this outrageous criminal lie. There is no evidence on the ground that Crossrail is creating jobs. There is no evidence in the PLANS that Crossrail can produce jobs. What there is that Crossrail, like any other ‘infrastructure project’ of similar descriptions, can and will create jobs for very highly trained, very highly motivated personnel. To claim that those personnel are available among the population in Tower Hamlets is another criminal outrage. And one of Gordon Brown’s co-peddlers of the Big Business agenda Crossrail scam lies, Ken Livingstone ought to have known better than to utter and the relate the lie that Crossrail would bring jobs to the East End. Crossrail is no more relevant to the ordinary people in the Eats End than Canary Wharf. We have originated this analysis and we have updated this daily [so far] for six years and three months. In that time, some incidental analytical events have also taken place. Like the confirmation of our analysis by Rod Eddington. Of course Eddington was appointed by Gordon Brown himself to look specifically at the future of railways. And Eddington reported without endorsing Crossrail. So emphatic was Eddington’s refusal to endorse Crossrail that the Ken Livingstone-floating, Big Biz agenda-touting London Guardian mounted a vicious attack on Rod Eddington in the Guardian’s editions published in the hours PRIOR to the official launch of Rod Eddington’s report! That attack by the Guardian proved just how efficiently Big Biz Military Industrial Complex [= "MIC”] was promoting the ‘Crossrail’ scam in the UK by using and or controlling the behaviour of the media as well as of MPs and peers. Contrast the plaint behaviour of Alan Rusbridger's Guardian with the noticeably independent reporting [on that occasion] by the USA business journal FORBES which reported that Rod Eddington had NOT endorsed the CrossRail scheme. Like Forbes, Channel 4 News, almost two years later, confirmed that Eddington had NOT supported Crossrail. In their broadcast business news item on 5 October 2007, Channel Four News said that Gordon Brown had just given UK Government financial backing to Crossrail "AGAINST" the advice of Rod Eddington. This was by far the clearest instance of an external [to Khoodeelaar!] source confirming the very detailed reasons and evidence for Eddington’s opposition to Crossrail.[To be continued]

KHOODEELAAR! told them so on 5 April 2006, exactly four years ago, weeks before the then scheduled Council elections in Tower Hamlets. WE say it now, four years on: Rid Tower Hamlets Council of corruption and scrap all deals with Big Business. Scrap all ploys, sub-deals with shoddy outfits, mysterious factions and cabals. Scrap all 'plans' to let Big Business take over Tower Hamlets ...

Khoodeelaaronline has been reporting on the inanities and the idiocies [amongst other corrupt propensities and inclinations] that govern the ‘editorial’ policies and priorities of the Alan 'Rubbisher' Rusbridger Guardian as far as their conduct concerns the doings and undoings of the CrossRail hole plotters and pushers.

The Guardian has been typically dishonestly edited over the past nearly 10 years and has concealed the political and social movements taking place in the country as direct responses to the assaults being mounted on communities across the K by the Blairing regime.

The Guardian has been lying for the Blair Crassrail hole plot consistently.

The only exceptions have been when there have been the 'Guardian'-pliant misleading token-heads 'now living in the Brick Lane area', the guardian has occasionally conceded the routine ‘dissenting’ spot to a local ‘resident’ or two.

Overall, the Guardian has been slavishly pro-CrossRail. The Brick Lane area Crossrail hole and all.

This Khoodeelaaronline analysis and update on the Guardian’s role is unique and exclusive.

As part of the campaign strategy and activities, the khoodeelaar! in 2004 first exposed the then idiocies of the Guardian, almost two years ago now, in our print edition concerned in July 2004 shortly after the Guardian’s ethnicity-linked promotion of the Crossrail hole plan contained the relevant misleading and prejudiced pro-crossrail plugs for the then ‘leader’ of tower hamlets council, Helal Abbas [who is seeking re-election from the brick lane area at the scheduled 4 may 2006 council elections].

In the guardian’s typically stupid and prejudiced ‘key battlegrounds’ report published on Tuesday 4 April 2006, the publication manages to leave the space for the number of Blairing councillors [on Tower Hamlets Council] blank as well as introducing or maintaining its liberal spelling of the word councillor with one ‘l’.

Perhaps the Guardian is being inventive [!] there.

May be they have in fact started to believe us in the East End of London where we have been saying for ages that Tower Hamlets Council is now controlled by a lying clique.

Perhaps because of their late realisation of the truth of our representation against the CrossRail-hole-plugging clique in control of Tower Hamlets Council, the Guardian have saved one ‘l’ for reporting the lies perpetrated against the community by the controlling clique on Tower Hamlets Council!!

Any optimism around that sort of a report appearing in the Guardian– print or online – is dashed quickly by the contents of the Guardian pre-poll ‘survey’.

They do recognise the electoral significance of the Council housing stock transfer but do not have a single word to say about CrossRail hole attacks plan on the community.

And the Guardian typically performs its own lying part for the Blairing lying clique on Tower Hamlets Council.

Whereas even the BBC was forced to recognise [belatedly] the very unprecedented political force created by the Khoodeelaar! No to CrossRail hole attack on the community, forcing Blair to withdraw the dirty parts of the hole assault, the poisonous lying Guardian continues to pretend that our community has not achieved that political U-turn by the Blair regime and by its lying local controlling clique on Tower Hamlets Council.

This flagship Labour-controlled London borough faces a concerted challenge from the Respect party, where Respect member George Galloway is the local constituency MP. Respect is fielding a candidate for every seat where it has made a significant noise about the stock transfer of council housing in an area where many estates face ballots to hand over their council property into housing association hands. Unrealistic ambitions to take control of the council, where Respect currently has just one councilor, may be wide of the mark, but the party could eat in the Labour majority and return the council to no over all control. Labour only has a majority of, trailed by the Lib Dems (16). Labour watchers are praying that the local MP's questionable appearance on Big Brother earlier this year may undo much of the electoral damage they previously feared.”

    2. Why is Rupert Murdoch abusing the News International/Corporation [UK/USA/Australia....] and piling on the lies against the East End – a comment on the Bethnal Green and Bow Constituency MP and the latest diversionary media ploys to suppress the campaign against the CrossRail hole
    3. Why Tower Hamlets Council ‘chief executive Christine Gilbert’ will have to disclose the full facts on her role in plugging for Crossrail hole plan and why the controlling clique’s lies will haunt them fart beyond the scheduled 4 May Council elections
    4. Why should the Tower Hamlets Liberal Democrats have sorted out their politics before publishing the leaflets that are in contradiction between Wards. Yesterday we published the Khoodeelaar Manifesto 2006 commentary and examined page 1 of the two page Liberal Democrat leaflet for ‘Spitalfields and Banglatown’. Today, we focus on that Party’s ‘leaflet’ as found somewhere in the ‘Bethnal Green South’ Ward.

Why do politicians treat us like infants?

    By ALEXANDER MCCALL SMITH
Last updated at 10:06 PM on 23rd April 2010
For some reason, the street in which I live has not attracted the attention of election pamphleteers. I have received one leaflet from the Conservatives and one from the Lib Dems.
We have yet to hear from the Scottish National Party or the Labour Party, both of whom may, for all I know, have given up in this constituency. Labour occupies the seat currently, but their sitting MP Nigel Griffiths has decided to sit no longer.
For whatever reason, they have not deemed it necessary to say too much to us.
Why is it that politicians seem to be treating us like infants?
Many voters, including Alexander McCall Smith, believe politicians are treating them like infants in the run up to the election
The absence of leaflets on my particular doorstep is one of the positive features of the current campaign. The reason for this view is simple - political leaflets are as often as not misleading collections of half-truths, self-righteous claims, and downright immodest blowing of the candidate's own trumpet.
They make unattractive reading at the best of times. In this election, when everybody is skirting around the real issues, they are uncomfortable reminders of how shallow political debate in this country has become.
So although I am willing to look at the claims of all the parties in this election, I am not prepared to be condescended to. That, I'm afraid, is what the political parties in this country are doing in a spectacular fashion.
The aspect of political condescension that most offends me is the failure to tell the truth. If you do not tell the truth to the people you're addressing, this implies that you don't think that they are capable of dealing with the hard realities of life.
In other words, you treat your audience like children, because, as is well known, children do not need to be told unpalatable facts. Not in front of the children is a well-known saying.
In this context, Not in front of the electorate is the political equivalent. Don't spell things out. Don't say anything that will upset people. Don't discuss things that might conceivably put people off from voting for you. The result: the half-truths and vague promises mentioned above.
Why do the political leaders, seen here in the second of their three televised debates, insist on patronising voters?
Why do the political leaders, seen here in the second of their three televised debates, insist on patronising voters?
What are the real issues in this election? Well, the answer to that is simple - the real issues are those that most immediately and seriously affect the welfare of the nation. The first and foremost of these is the issue of our pressing and crippling debt.
We are all now indebted to the tune of tens of thousands of pounds for every man, woman and child in this country. The figure is around £25,000 per person, I believe, but of course it grows every day, not only with fresh borrowing but also with interest.
That interest ticks away while we sleep. It ticks away while we listen to politicians telling us that they have the solutions that will make this country great and - this is an interesting one - fairer.
Now the idea of living in a just country is an attractive one, but the use of the word fair like this - when there are great and immediate problems to be tackled - should sound alarm bells. It is an infantile word. It resonates particularly with the childish mind. It's not fair! is the classic complaint of the five-year-old.
So what are politicians doing using this word? They are infantilising the public. They are appealing to us as they know children like to be appealed to.
The great television debate episode one was a fine example of this. We had a lot of stressing of key words and catchphrases.
'Taking six billion pounds out of the economy,' was one. Yes, but where was it being taken from and where was being put? 'Making Britain a fair society.'
Yes, but what exactly is a fair society? Is it unfair to have economic inequality? Can any societies be considered to be fair, given that every one known to man has a measure of economic inequality?
Perhaps the message is this: everybody - and particularly the child within - has a tendency to resent people who have more than they have. (Hands up anybody who hasn't ever felt envy?)
So politicians play on our envy by talking about 'fairness' - instead of dealing with the pressing issues of economic management and financial survival. 'Choosing hope over fear' was another phrase heard in that debate. No! Let's choose fear! Let's give fear a chance!
And that takes us back to the debt, the spectre at the feast, or, since we may as well mix metaphors - everybody else is - the elephant at the feast.
What is this elephant and why is nobody talking about him?
The Prime Minister Gordon Brown, a man whom I have always rather liked at a personal level (although I am aware of the fact that not all the readers of this newspaper share that view) said recently that the cuts proposed by the Conservatives sent shivers up his spine.
What he could just as well have said, though, is that the thought of the debt sent shivers up his spine. If any shivers are being sent, it is not cuts that are inducing them, but the sheer scale of our indebtedness.
A debtor, after all, will get scant sympathy if he says the thought of the economies he must make sends shivers up his spine. The Conservatives need to think about this too.
There was a point before the start of the campaign when they started to spell out the extent of the national debt and how serious it was. However, this had a very sobering result: their popularity dipped, and they obviously decided that it was not such a good idea.
As for the Lib Dems, they have made much about facing up to the debt, but then they encourage the view that it can be dealt with by raising income tax and kitting out the country with bargain nuclear weapons rather than expensive ones.
Some politicians in Scotland have had an even cleverer idea - one of them expressed the view that the national debt was nothing to do with Scotland anyway and we could walk away from it!
I had to rub my eyes when I read that, as I seemed to remember the small matter of the Royal Bank of Scotland and the biggest commercial bailout by the government in the United Kingdom's history. What the parties should be doing is spelling out the dire situation in which we find ourselves.
    David Cameron
    Nick Clegg
Trustworthy? Conservatives leader David Cameron (left) and Lib Dem frontman Nick Clegg
They should all say: 'It would be grand to be able to have generously-funded public services - but the reality of the matter is that we do not have the money. We are, quite frankly, deeply indebted and we must work out ways of paying back those debts as soon as possible.'
Facing up to the uncomfortable truth, as any counsellor will tell you, is the first step to recovery. Once that is done, the possibilities of real political debate open up and other issues can be considered at a more mature level.
We can then talk about issues that are currently swept under the carpet. Everybody knows, of course, what those are. They are the ones that politicians will not mention because they are too frightened of giving offence to somebody or other.
We need to be told that we cannot have everything we want. We need to be told that the balance of economic power in the world is shifting and we need to reassess how we can survive as a post-industrial society.
We need to have a long, cold look at the facts of social dysfunction in our society, about levels of illiteracy, about the breakdown of parental authority, about the collapse of social services under the pressure of demands, about the abuse of benefits that gives, for example, Glasgow an astonishingly high rate of disability.
These do not feature very highly in this election - other than in terms of promises for the future.
So while politicians may argue that they are talking to the electorate about these things, they are not really.
They are referring to them - but they are not asking us to look these problems in the face. Their references are usually along the lines of saying: 'Yes, we know that there are problems, and we are the ones to fix them!'
In this climate of superficiality, it is perhaps not surprising that electoral campaigns are trivialised. One of the most depressing aspects of the presidential-style leaders' debates was that they appeared to be judged by large sections of the public on the basis of showmanship.
Nick Clegg obviously understood that very well.
He looked good and spoke powerfully, with the result that vast numbers of people thought that they would vote for his party after the first debate.
David Cameron, who was equally competent and impressive, was perhaps a touch too careful about offending anybody and singing the praises of nurses (the British equivalent of American apple pie).
    Gordon Brown
Prime Minister Gordon Brown hasn't given up fighting his corner
Meanwhile, Gordon Brown, on whose shoulders the cares of office must sit very heavily, has been taken up with trying to land blows on Cameron without isolating Clegg.
All three of them are clearly public-spirited men concerned about the state of the country, and yet none of them addressed what the next government will have to do to start paying back our horrendous debt. 'Efficiency savings'? Do they really believe that we will believe that? Do they really believe that?
The second debate was just as bad. More buzzwords, more scripted, over-rehearsed jokes - 'You remind me of my two young boys squabbling at bathtime,' said Brown - and more partisan pointscoring instead of actual debate.
At a more profound level, what this electoral campaign is demonstrating is that we have ceased to think seriously about problems and have been successfully infantilised.
The dumbing-down of everything - the BBC, newspapers and so on - is having its effect, with the result that the trading of clichés and extravagant promises has taken the place of real political debate.
Of course, at the end of the day, there will be an election and we shall have a new government. What that government will have to do then is to forget more or less everything that it said in the election campaign and do what necessity compels it to do.
Predictably, that will bring howls of protest from the losers on the other side of Parliament, who will blame the government for the social and economic pain that will inevitably accompany the moment of reckoning. Nobody will say it's their fault. But it is. It's our fault.
We've had a long period of living beyond our means through excessive public spending, which has been designed to keep us happy. Now it has to be paid for and, like children, we are very cross. Very cross indeed.
And like children, we want to punish somebody else for our behaviour. But who is there to punish? So we shall do what all infants do 17 - kick the furniture. Watch 17 - it's about to happen!
