KHOODEELAAR! in principle supporting the campaign in south London on railway cuts by Boris Johnson. Khoodeelaar! told Val Shawcross so! But Shawcross is another careerist opportunist who is unreliable as she is hooked on peddling another Big Biz Crossrail tout! No real choice between BoJo and Val Shawcross. Nor indeed with Caroline Pidgeon. Only truthful action by uncareerist community will ensure that Big Biz agenda touting time-servers do not foil the ordinary public on transport services in London. Scrap Crossrail. Stop lying. Quit faking. [To be continued]

Boris

THE South London Press is backing campaigners’ calls for Boris Johnson to come to the rescue of rail services this side of the river. Save the South London Line (SLL) members are asking thousands of people to write to the London Mayor urging him to save a proposed replacement for the line that runs from London Bridge to Victoria. Last year, Transport of London (TfL) and the Department for Transport (DfT) decided to scrap the SLL in 2012. A proposed replacement from Bellingham to London Bridge was also ditched and the £24million – or £2.5million per year – due to fund it was diverted to the East London line extension from West Croydon to Dalston Junction via South-east London.

This year, TfL agreed to review the decision – and with the results due out this month, campaigners are urging residents to keep up the pressure on Mr Johnson. Stephen Govier, of the campaign group, said: “I am a great believer in the East London line but that can’t be used as an excuse to cut the existing services. We need radial and orbital links.” He said the cost of keeping the Bellenden line was about the same cost as running a bus service. “There is no justification for saying it’s a money issue.”

Labour London Assembly member for Southwark and Lambeth, Val Shawcross, said: “We want to remind people that they need to put in a last-push email to say, ‘We’ve not gone away.’” The SLL runs from Victoria to London Bridge via Battersea Park, Wandsworth Road, Clapham High Street, Denmark Hill, Peckham Rye, Queens Road Peckham and South Bermondsey. The service is due to stop in 2012 when building works at London Bridge mean there will no longer be room for it to terminate there. To register your support for the campaign – fill in the letter below.

Dear Mr Mayor,

I am alarmed the South London Line is to be removed without a replacement. This essential public transport service is a vital link for the people of Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth to the jobs, opportunities, and wealth creation of the Cities of London and Westminster.
As the new East London Line service (ELLX2) does not provide any direct service into the heart of London, I cannot agree with your TfL and with the DfT when they contend it is a viable substitute for our South London Line.
If your plans to axe the South London Line go ahead then my transport options are impoverished and serious overcrowding may result on fewer public transport options left. Transport options that will force many of us into far longer journey times.
North a full range of public transport options and connections stands in marked contrast to a growing poverty of such options south of the river. Important regeneration objectives and urban renewal possibilities will be surrendered and even lost.
The whole community and our elected representatives were led to believe any new East London Line service would add to and complement existing services. Now under plans you continue to endorse sustainable public transport links will be cut.
Please stand up for South London and commit to improving rather than removing our public transport services and options.
The Minister of State for Transport has at least offered to help fund retention of the South London Line service into Victoria and we urge you to accept his offer and work together to save direct services into London Bridge.
Yours sincerely,

KHOODEELAAR! reiterating the basic, universal, decent call on the UK CON party to do the right thing and to tell the truth. What on earth is the demand for Crossrail as opposed to IMPROVEMENT in the Existing infrastructure crying out for overdue repairs and maintenance ? Why not answer this question before you retail the lies that Big Biz scripts for you on a daily basis for their CRASSrail scam? Neither Boris Johnston nor P Hammond has told the truth. The two that were prepared to do have been shunted off! Justine Greening and Theresa Villiers! CRASS! CRASS role by the CRASSLY oriented CONDEM CON Party bureaucracy

Khoodeelaar! Told the UK Con party so! For years. But would they listen? Not unless they were Francis Maude as they were found appearing in Brick Lane amid over the top secrecy and security surrounded by the then battalion of van-loaded Con party wannabe c councillors at the [still to be held] 2006 Council elections in london generally and in tower hamlets in particular. Fancies Maude only uttered the now immortalised words – made immortal by Khoodeelaar! Of course – as he had been primed to do so by at least two of his Anglo-Saxon co-Con party members and careerists. One of those was extensively addressed by your Editor over at least a full hour prior to Maude’s frantic bid to effect the exit after his routine had been done on an upstairs floor in a Brick Lane based and the Con party linked ‘establishment’. Maude’s KHOODEELAAR! ‘interview’ instantly transcribed and diagnosed by Khoodeelaar! was put on the Internet by AADHIKARONLINE within hours of the occurrence. In that exchange. Maude managed to say ‘no to Crossrail’ only so far as the Khoodeelaar! Demand related to the CRASSrail dirt hole aimed at the immediate Brick Lane area and its adjoining streets. Maude was swift to prattle the Con party 'ideological' 'doctrinaire' rightwing subservience to big business MILITARY INDUSIAL COMPLEX script in justifying the Con Party’s ‘support’ for the ‘Crossrail’ scam as a whole [as opposed to the hole!] .. That was April 2006. This is Wednesday 07 July 2010.  Four years and three months on, the Maude performance of the MIC line for Crossrail looks as crass as it was as he was performing [= as in parroting] it. However, in April 2006, the externally verifiable independently assessable evidence of the crassness of the CRASSrail scam were not accessible to the likes of Maude as he stood there just outside the exit door and on the pavement in Brick Lane looking as anxious to getaway as any passenger going through a security checkout would do if their plane was almost ready to taxi away on to the wider distances of the runway….so what was Maude afraid of? Why wouldn’t he want to answer the questions in full ? Why wouldn’t the Con party answer the questions even now? What is it that they are hiding under their parroting of the offensively empty stock slogan 'vital' 'long term' etc  in ‘justifying’ THEIR EWASYING of £Billions of public money  in the era of ‘austerity’ they frantically claim they have just inaugurated, set in motion, ushered in  [etc etc etc ] when they have refused to answer questions about the evidence? This week's admission for the first time as known to our campaign by the Financial Times of the EXUSTENCE of Rod Erdington  shows once again that contrary to their claims, the CON party as well as the Lib Dumbs, remain as dishonest now as they were claming G Brown-fronted Bliared Party to be prior to 6 May 2010. [To be continued]

“Boris warns Coalition that it would be "madness" to stop Crossrail; "insane" to stop funding affordable housing; and "barking" to cut police numbers

IMG_4459 There is a place for receptions for single interest groups of the kind held by David Cameron for the gay community but Boris Johnson has launched a series of eleven events that aim to bring London's geographical communities together.

IMG_4748 Although respectful of so-called rainbow communities (the Mayor attended last Saturday's Pride march for gay Britons), Boris Johnson described last night's reception at City Hall as the 'Big Society' in action. Entrepreneurs, churchleaders, police commanders, charity leaders and local councillors mixed with celebrities from Merton, Southwark and Lambeth including Levi Roots, Peter Tatchell, Camila Batmanghelidjh and Doreen Lawrence.

The Mayor used the reception to celebrate the fact that 10,000 knives had been removed from London street's by initiatives he had led. Imagine, he said, if just 1% of those knives had been used in anger.

He also warned the Coalition government not to cut funding to London too deeply in the latest sign of his determination to be seen as London Mayor first and a Conservative second. He said that it would be "madness" to stop Crossrail; "insane" to cut funding for affordable housing; and "barking" to cut police numbers when Londonoers might need them most. He said that the government must not starve London of funding. That funding is the fuel for what is the motor engine of the whole nation's economy, he warned.

Boris believes that, unlike Whitehall under Labour, he has spent two years cutting fat from London government and there needs to be acknowledgment of London's special situation.
