How the report on Tower Hamlets schools branding pupils as mentally flawed, came out today

Teachers could be labelling too many children with a hyperactivity disorder when they are just naughty, doctors believe.

Researchers in east London found only a handful of children believed by their schools to have attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder did actually have it.

Psychiatrists now want an overhaul of how teachers identify pupils with ADHD.

Classroom trouble: 3% of pupils are diagnosed with ADHD

Up to three per cent of all primary school children suffer from ADHD, with symptoms including hyperactivity, restlessness and inattention.
Teachers who suspect a child has the disorder refer them to the local mental health service. Specialists carry out observations and speak to families before making a diagnosis.

But a study of Tower Hamlets pupils found only five of the 52 referred to mental health specialists in 2007 were correctly diagnosed.
Dr Benjamin Keene from the child and adolescent mental health services team in Tower Hamlets did the research.
He said: 'We want a system where teachers phone us and we can go through their concerns so we can focus our resources.
'Naughty children may at some point present symptoms, but someone with ADHD has them at all times.'

He added: 'We are looking to foster a better relationship with teachers.'

When a child is diagnosed they are taught 'behaviour management strategies'. If that doesn’t work they can be prescribed medication, including Ritalin.

The report will be presented at the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ annual meeting tomorrow.

Dr Keene said the number of children diagnosed is increasing, possibly down to increased awareness of the disorder.

And it is plain to see.

Not just in Gordon Brown/Geoff Hoon/Keith Vaz being easily found hoist on their own unethical, unconstitutional petards!

Not just in the ‘House of Commons Treasury select Committee’ Chair John McFall failing to focus on the facts at hand!

Most of the times, most of the MPs and ‘other’ 'parliamentarians are absent from their own minds...

They are into areas, territories and interests that are too obscene, too offensive, too dishonourable to detail here or in any dignified commentary.

Engaged away from ethics, morality and priority.

They are embarked on pursuing purposes and interests that are nit quite legitimate, not quite riper...

Most of the 'parliamentarians' are not bothered about addressing the serious issues. Including the huge public sums that may be - and are getting - misallocated....Wasted.. Put into pockets of organised criminal gangs posing as ‘conglomerates’.

The 'Crossrail Bill' was NOT scrutinised. Not at the report stage. Not at any of the 'reading' stages.

NOT even at the ‘select committees’..

And the executive, executing the agenda of the Big Business lobby controlling the Business priorities of Parliament, knew that the utter the vast the overwhelming numbers and majorities of the MPs were too busy trying to feather their own nests to bother about the purpose, the costs, the implications of the Crossrail hole Bill and plot and scam...

Khoodeelaar! has shown up BOTH Houses of UK Parliament as being unfit for purpose: BOTH Houses fail to audit the 'executive'...

Khoodeelaar! has shown up BOTH Houses of UK Parliament as being unfit for purpose: BOTH Houses fail to audit the 'executive'...

This becomes clear whenever there is any issue of substance that the ‘Houses’ ‘consider’.

There is, of course, a lot of hype suggesting that the ‘Houses DO hold the executive to account!

But that is a lie.

As even the formally placed ‘chair’ of the ‘Crossrail Bill Select Committee in the House of Lords’ [= our abbreviation of that is= CBSCHL= where the ‘S’ stands for STOOGED rather than “select’] has confessed: They are useless.

They are MEANT to be useless...

That ‘chair’ has said that objectors to Crossrail who are not impressed by the behaviour of the CBSCHL should seek redress in the courts!

Exactly the point that KHOODEELAAR! had been making and IS continuing to make!

The ‘Parliament’ is being discredited by the parliamentarians. And they know it.

And they say it.

As they said so many ways in the 30 minute stunt called the PMQs staged yesterday.

‘Thanks’ to the Daily Telegraph web site which did a strategic job of publishing the Sleaze suggestion linking keith vaz and Geoff Hoon with the Deal on the 42 day detention without trial.... Gordon Brown found himself, once again, lost without anything valuable to say...

None of his alleged ‘British vahloos’ looked remotely useful or even accessible as Ca-moron caught Brown out....

We say again: SCRAP Crossrail NOW, Gordon. lest ye regret thy
boasts and thy banality and thy imprudent ‘commitment’ to fund CRASSrail to the tune of £Billions that ye were ‘tricked’ by the lying Livingstone into making....
