Boris Johnson threatens to aid Big Business rob the poor, crippling London...
1040 GMT London Thursday 9 October 2008:
And that lie that Boris Johnson repeated via the ‘Today’ programme this morning, is stolen from the Lib Dumbs Lynne Featherstone’s utterance dated 27 October 2003. Featherstone is now an MP. In 2003 she was a London Assembly member and was peddling the Big business Crassrail lies in that capacity. Featherstone has persisted in peddling the Big business-scripted lies for Crossrail on several occasions since 27 October 2003. And the phrase that Boris Johnson was allowed to utter on the BBC radio programme today was done as part of the lying agenda set by r Big Business... Even on the day after the Brown-fronted Blaired regime was forced to hand over £Billions of UK public money to the Crooked City Bankers, the BBC showed no evidence that it had the duty to tell the truth rather than give more plugs for the thieving Big Business.... But the BBC did just that.... If the ‘absence of Crossrail in London could cripple London on 27 October 2003, how is it that London is still doing as usual on 9 October 2008 and that is the case despite the fact that there is no Crossrail in London? In less than 7 hours, the flagship of lying and pernicious ‘agenda-setting’, the so-called ‘Today’ programme had Boris Johnson filling the space previously allocated to Big Business agenda tout Ken Livingstone! Boris Johnson was uttering tout words for Big Business CRASSRAIL via the ‘Today’ programme. As usual, the ‘Today’ programme was NOT rigourous far less uptodate on the facts.... UK falls out of top ten in world economic table
The UK is no longer among the top ten most competitive countries in the world because of its weakening financial markets, according to the World Economic Forum.

Falling three places from 9th to 12th, the UK was demoted from the top ten for the first time, in the WEF's Global Competitiveness Report 2008-2009, published yesterday.
The report said that the UK's greatest weakness was its macroeconomic environment, ranked 58th, as a result of low national savings, a growing public sector deficit and consequential public debt.
Strengths in the UK included its labour market, ranked eighth, which is notable for its flexibility compared with other EU countries. "In addition, notwithstanding the recent financial crisis, the United Kingdom's financial markets continue to be assessed as among the most efficient in the world, although they have slipped from second to fifth place since last year in this area, attributable to rising concerns among the business sector about the soundness of banks and the ease of access to various forms of capital," the report said.
Another area where the UK was considered strong, in eighth position, was in improvements made in productivity as a result of technological advances.
The US retained the top spot, followed by Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Singapore, making the latter the top ranked country from Asia.
"The United States continues to be the most competitive economy in the world," the WEF said.
"This is because it is endowed with many structural features that make its economy extremely productive and place it on a strong footing to ride out business cycle shifts and economic shocks.
"Thus, despite rising concerns about the soundness of the banking sector and other macroeconomic weaknesses, the country's many other strengths continue to make it a very productive environment."
The US is ranked first for innovation, but was criticised for high levels of public debt and a fiscal deficit which could restrict the economy going forward. Switzerland also scored high for innovation, business sophistication, and research and development. Germany remained in the top ten but slipped two positions to seventh place.
China continued to top the rankings among large developing economies, improving four places this year and joining the top 30 overall.
China's fellow BRIC economies – Brazil, Russia and India – all made the top half of the league.
"Rising food and energy prices, a major international financial crisis and the related slowdown in the world's leading economies, are confronting policymakers with new economic management challenges," said Xavier Sala-i-Martin, professor of economics at Columbia University and co-author of the report.

KHOODEELAAR! updating the evidence of CRASS role by BBC 'political editor' Nick Robinson, behaving as a tout for the City of London elements and interests and Big Business lobby desperate to ‘get a bailout’ on London Crossrail so they can pocket £Billions from the UK public funds [167]. Someone in the CRASSrail hole peddling propaganda unit has noticed that CRASSrail is no longer tenable even by the standards of the looting Big Business ‘system’. So they have recruited the services of the BBC Political Editor post holder Nick Robinson. He changed the contents of his main report during the evening [ednesday 8 October 2008] and included a strategically inserted line - same line that Ken Livingstone, Michael Snyder, Jo Valentine had used for two years as part of their ‘reason’ for demanding that Crossrail scam be funded from the public sources.Standby now for a dramatic piece by the BBC arguing for Crossrail !!!!!
