"Conservative Justine Greening unveils London priorities
Historically the national result has reflected the London outcome
The Conservatives have unveiled their priorities for London - calling for an end to accident and emergency closures and aid for first time home buyers.
The Tories also said they would help the 39% of children born in poverty in London and promised new school places.
Justine Greening, shadow minister for London, said Labour had "taken Londoners for granted".
Labour criticised the lack of a Tory official London manifesto. The Liberal Democrats promised 600 more police.
London is a key battleground for the parties. It has an even mix of voters from all demographics and in previous elections the nationwide result has tended to reflect the picture in the English capital.
The Conservative wish-list for the city promised schools would be offered funding per pupil.
The party said that would enable the most popular schools to take on more students so youngsters were more likely to get their first choice establishment.
On housing, the party warned that only one-in-ten young families could afford to buy a first home in the city.
The Tories offer little more than broken promises on housing and bus fares. Londoners deserve better

To help, a Conservative spokesman said they would scrap stamp duty on homes worth less than £250,000 to help people onto the housing ladder.
And they promised not to close any A&E wards - something they accuse Labour of planning.
Shadow minister for London, Justine Greening, said: "We need a future Conservative government that's not just in touch with Londoners' issues but is going to start tackling them.
"This document shows that we have taken Londoners' priorities and made them our own. Too many people in our city have either been left behind by Labour or been ignored and we've a chance to change that for the better by voting Conservative."
She added: "We know Labour has taken Londoners for granted - Conservatives won't - we'll work hard to make sure we deliver."
But Minister for London Tessa Jowell said: ''The Tories are the only major political party in London not to release a manifesto for London.
"Today they have offered nothing more than a press release."
Tax promise
She continued: "With only one week of the campaign left to go the Tories offer little more than broken promises on housing and bus fares. Londoners deserve better."
Labour also accused the Conservatives of failing to guarantee the Crossrail project to link east and west London by train.
Commenting on the Tory priorities, Liberal Democrat London spokesman Tom Brake said: "We've already seen the Tories break promises in London.
"Boris Johnson was elected promising to cut crime in the capital but all he's cutting is police numbers.
"The Tories in London are no different from the rest of the country - they make lots of promises without any detail of how they'll pay for them."

BBC NEWSNIGHT, at last, 'mentions' ‘low priority’ Crossrail for likely 'scrappage scheme!
This was done by Kirsty Wark letting slip that ‘question’. As she was shown facing Liam Byrne who was sitting in a Midlands ‘BBC studio’ on Tuesday 27 April 2010. To use the OTT-hyped lying imagery associated with BBC’s manufacture of the ‘rigorous interviewer Jeremy Paxman’ [a seriously questionable BBC assumption] that session of questioning was not really productive as it failed to show that the BBC programme was in possession of all the key facts about debt and about the false propaganda around John Maynard Keynes [who never did understand the complexities of real economics – which is that you have to pay for all exchanges of goods and services. We shall contextually philosophically historically and universally update on JM Keynes in due course here and on related sites] that Gordon Brown had maintained for almost two years by 27 April 2010. . It also showed that the BBC had still not looked at the evidence that it had been sent by Khoodeelaar! during the past six years and 3 months. We have done the research, we have done the analysis and we have found the results. The BBC did not pay and we did not do it for gain. Not for our gain. But for the whole of London. Nay, for all of the people in the UK who are affected by spending and cuts decisions that are made by those who are placed in positions of ‘power’. We have told the BBC off about this many times. And we record the fact that at the end of the slot on Newsnight that included another hype for the IFS and its self-serving ‘neutral boy’ [!] Chope, the truth did not come out. And we suspect that at the end of the over hyped ;last debate’ [which is really a debasing of the genuinely universally high standards of 'debates'. So it is the 'E*ection Debase'] scheduled to be screened on BBC networks and others tonight [Thursday 29 April 2010] the truth about the UK economy and the various measures half measures either taken or proposed by any of the Parties, will still be suppressed. The slot of 90 minutes which is designed as a semi-pornographic entertainment one, is not the place for getting even an introductory discussion about economics going. So it will be another farce and the ‘winner’ will be decide on the basis of their gratuitously unthinking and semi-pornographic displays and tricks. This is not the responsible let alone honest and truthful way to run an election campaign for a genuinely pro-democratic far less just and decent society. The latest farce will only serve to plunge the mind of the zombified 'participants' at all 'mass and massed levels' in even deeper depths of ignorance.
