The Hype about 'jobs' around the 2012 Olympic GAMES HOSTING in London has begun. The hype and the spin will go out of control and the liars will cause serious harm to the cause of the truth unless the community takes steps to put the facts in perspective.
The very first thing that KHOODEELAAR! has been seeking to put on the record about the 2012 Olympic games hosting is that it will not be an economically productive event for ordinary People. And that it will not give sustained economic opportunities.
As part of the KHOODEELAAR campaign,m Organiser Muhammad Haque has posted the following brief response to an external web site carrying the plug that East of London Tower Hamlets Borough has the largest number of potential businesses listed on database about the 2012 Games hosting-related contracts:
"
The question surely is:
HOW economically viable, relevant and sustainable are the potential contracts going to be for ordinary people in the Borough of Tower Hamlets?
What have the schools in Tower Hamlets and other formally operated institutions funded in the name of education been contributing towards the creation of any generation of young and ‘formally educated’ adults who can independently compete with equal merit and claims with any other groups vying for the short-term contracts and appointments who are not from Tower Hamlets and if there are any significant numbers from Tower Hamlets whom the local schools and institutions have inspired, motivated, encouraged and trained adequately and educated to the highest standards, how far would those go to create the necessary productive economic and acceptable social environment in the East End of London that can afford life and living to the ordinary East End people without our having to rely on the exceedingly exceptional but currently over-hyped stunts such as the 2012 Olympic Games hosting?
