KHOODEELAAR! No to “Crossrail hole Big Business scam.....” CAMPAIGN has said all along that the ‘local’ Tower Hamlets Council is a clique. That clique is the one that makes the decisions. Not all the eligible councillors at any given time. There are several layers of concealment that the corrupt clique uses to give the public impression that Tower Hamlets is a duly democratically active, duly delivering service providers to the community in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Tower Hamlets Council is controlled by a clique that is out and out corrupt. Out and out antidemocratic. And it is outrageously brazen about itself. Why? Because it [the corrupt clique that controls the actual decision-making activities on Tower Hamlets London Borough Council, AS DIFFERENT from the formal displays of decision-making that are staged via the formal holding of certain residual committees...] knows that there is no opposition on the opposition benches. No opposition in effect. There is of course the appearance of opposition for formal references. But there is no opposition of substance from the formally listed opposition bench councillors. Those are also decreasing in number! Quite apart from the doubly anti-democratic slide of formally-listed opposition 'benches' [in a tiny council there are so many tiny grouplets even on the ever tiny opposition] councillors clambering aboard the group that is IN EFFECT controlled by the corrupt clique, there is also no opposition from the so-called ‘local press’. In fact an independent, informative, relevant and ethical ‘local press’ does not exist in Tower Hamlets. Nor is there any actual journalism from any allegedly ethnicity-linked parts of the population that makes up Tower Hamlets Borough..... This, above, summarised evidence is the main explanation for the brazen backing that the ‘local Tower Hamlets Council’ has been giving to Big Business agenda operated in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. This little difference between the Borough and the Council is of monumental and far-reaching significance.....[To be continued]
