London Saturday 15 November 2008:

How is it that 60 head teachers of schools and institutions in Haringey have been able to issue a statement backing Sharon Shoesmith on the same day [ Saturday 15 November 2008] that one of her own daughters [that is, her children] just happens to get through to the BBC and the ‘national children’s centre’ man, Mr Ennals [on which more later] uttered the same sort of ‘concerns’ that are designed to discourage discussions about accountability of those who hold power and abuse them, or fail to use them to save lives. As has happened to Child P.

There has been no credible demand by anyone who has genuinely been shocked and angered by the violations of the child P that could be linked to the peoples’ intolerance of Sharon Shoesmith's ‘job’ or career.

What has outraged and what ought to outrage even more people and on more occasions is the fact that Shoesmith has been shown to have been negligent to the rights of the child...

In their JOINT STATEMENT, the alleged headteachers have shown that they lack sense.

It is that absence of sense that people have been outraged by.

It is that absence of sense that people detected in the idiotic and senseless reaction shown on Wednesday in the House of Commons by Gordon Brown who accused Cameron of playing party politics. Cameron MAY have fantasised about MAKING everything party political. But the Child P was not let down by anyone remotely interested in backing Cameron..

So Cameron had as much right as a human being to put the questions to Brown that he did do.

It is Brown’s tragedy that he failed to recognise that.

It is this lack of sense that lies at the centre of the undemocratic , unaccountable wasteful and poverty-creating behaviour by the ‘local’ councils on a wider range of areas that affect peoples lives.…
