The forcing a paltry sum as ‘contribution to Crossrail’ out of a developer carries in it the seeds and contaminants of so many ills that Boris Johnson should stop repeating it if he has any sense.

Or, to use ‘his phrase’ he applied to the former Commissioner of the Met Police Ian Blair, the evidence as propagated by the Channel 4 news last night, if he has any 'common sense'.
