KHOODEELAAR! updating ACTION archive: when George Galloway faced his worst period as 'the local MP', KHOODEELAAR! stood up for him in January 2006

In a less than a week, it will be 3 years since the Blaired regime had begun to confect a series o smears to do down the recently elected Bethnal green and Bow MP George Galloway.

The occasion was Galloway's ill-advised acceptance of hospitality from the Channel 4 Sleaze House Big Bother.

It seems that the season of sleazy peddling is back again. And Galloway is still being mentioned in the mainstream media as linked with that notorious House run on Channel 4...

It is incredible that three years on, there has been no source, other than Khoodeelaar! [ and may be a small number of close allies and friends of Galloway's] who has come out and defended Galloway's role as the ‘local’ MP/

And this has included the Socialist Workers Party, who in January 2006 were VERY much part of the RESPECT 'coalition'...

In january 2006, nobody would have believed that George Galloway's organisation would field the type, the calibre, the orientation of candidates that it did field at the May 2006 local Council elections for Tower Hamlets Borough Council and that so many of those who have now emerged as sitting on the Blairing bench on Tower Hamlets Council, would behave in the way that they have behaved.…

How KHOODEELAAR! tried to give Galloway's ‘allies and friends’ the benefit of our commitment to the community, we shall come to report on here later in this updater commentary.

First to the events surrounding Galloway's acceptance of Channel 4 Big BOTHER hospitality

The row that was cooked up around Galloway's appearance on C4 was exactly that. A cooked up row. The idea was to undermine the man. So that he would become a laughing stock..

It is so easy to do that via the media in Britain.
.
What was so noticeable was that as the media bandwagon against Galloway was rolling, nobody was coming forward to speak up for him..

Not in the ‘Guardian’. Not the Independent. Nobody.

None of Galloway's ‘aides’ either...

If they did make contacts with the media - some of whom may still be found to be on personally amicable terms with them even in 2009- they were not succeeding in taking Galloway off from the notoriety spot.…

In January 2009, it is evidentially possible to think of a few other ‘friends’ of Galloway's who ought to have appeared in the mainstream media and defended Galloway back in January 2006 when he was in most need of public endorsement ...

Names including Ken Livingstone, John McDonnell. To mention only two.

But they were NOT eager to use their own links with the mainstream to come out and speak up for Galloway...

[To be continued]
