KHOODEELAAR! evidential dissection of the rhetorical re-writing by Gordon Brown as witnessed via Bristol this morning Saturday 28 February 2009.

KHOODEELAAR! evidential dissection and first notes on the rhetorical re-writing of the script by Gordon  Brown as witnessed via Bristol this morning  Saturday 28 February 2009. Gordon Brown is not there yet. Not even with the insertion of ‘progressive’ to replace ‘British’ before he repeated the word ‘Vah-loos’. He has not understood the fundamental folly of his ‘economic policies’. He has not admitted the errors of his ways. despite admitting the ‘mistakes’ in his scripted speech this morning… He HAS been letting people and communities down. Despite his claims to contrary this morning. ‘Boosting’ the economy by spending is WRONG. When the rest of his policies constitute a void… His topical, populist utterances about banking too are wrong.. He has been SILENT about the main looting by the banks and by big business.. Brown has been in bed with Big Business at whose behest he is selecting the ‘boosted’ extra spending…That is flawed, flawed and flawed…[To be continued]

The tunnelling of Crossrail will damage the capital’s landmark
buildings unless compensation grouting is used to protect them, a
leading geotechnical academic claimed last week.
The up to 10m diameter tunnels and station boxes will be considerably larger than a typical London
Underground station and pose a large threat to the stability of buildings above ground.

University of Cambridge professor of geotechnical engineering Robert Mair told an audience at the Royal
Society in London that compensation grouting is the only solution to safeguard these buildings.

“The most famous example of the successful application of this technique was the protection of Big Ben
from tilting during the construction of Westminster station for the Jubilee Line Extension,” said Mair.

“The landmark was only 36m away from the new station site. Without the use of compensation grouting, construction would have given the structure the Pisa effect.”
