Lambeth rejects TfL’s Crossrail call
The London Borough of Lambeth has rejected Transport for London’s request that developer contributions to Crossrail should be sought from new development in the vicinity of Waterloo station. TfL made the request in response to the borough’s draft supplementary planning document for the Waterloo area supporting the construction of tall buildings around the station. But Lambeth is refusing to amend the SPD because it says Crossrail will provide no benefit
