As was seen during UK Government's promotion of the Big Business Crossrail Bill in 2005-2008 in the UK Houses of Commons and Peers.... Today, Monday 26 January 2009, the leader of the UK House of Peers has made apparently honest statements showing concern at the news reports that at least four members of that House had been exposed as being either involved in or prepared to be involved in cash for legislation activities..… ‘Lady Royall’ must have just landed from Mars. Or she is in denial herself. Contrary to the carefully scripted words of reassurance about her own ‘integrity’ that have been played on the BBC for the past 24 hours, ‘Lady Royall’ cannot be allowed to pretend that she did not know just how undemocratic the House of Peers itself is... What the PEERS ‘Select committee’ on ‘Crossrail Bill’ did to further the Big Business [like Big banks, like the City of London - all the suspects that have just in the past 6 months been exposed as the shoddy, sleazy elements that they have been and are - images that they were able to conceal for a long while from most decision-makers and or colluders...] agenda behind Crossrail.…. Runway opponents unveil Heathrow ‘rail hub’

The coalition of councils opposing the third runway will this week launch plans for a new rail network around Heathrow.
The group, known as the 2M Group, claim 40 trains an hour could pass through the airport.
Their blueprint, Getting to Heathrow, to be launched on Thursday, shows that the airport could become a rail hub serving large areas of London and the South-East. The new local network would provide links to mainline services and a London-to-Scotland high-speed rail line from Euston. It would offer connections to 150 stations within a 25-mile radius of the airport. Representatives say it would take a million cars off the road every year.
Wandsworth council leader Edward Lister, speaking on behalf of 2M, said: “Government plans include a £4.5 billion high-speed hub. This is nothing more than a high-speed hoax as just about all the costs will be swallowed by a 15-mile tunnel to St Pancras and unnecessary tunnelling under Heathrow.
“Our scheme is practical and offers much better value for money. The Government says Crossrail and Airtrack will be enough to cope with Heathrow expansion. Whether the airport grows or not the best way to tackle congestion is to make it the centre of a new network that links all existing and proposed lines.”

How we are going through times that are many times worse than they were in the 1970s in Britain.
Not only is there a party political consensus
That sleaze balls are quite normal as MPs
And peers but that there is not really much that we can do about them.
We are also witnessing the acceptance of racism as not only normal but something that Gordon Brown can be ‘rightly’ proud of.
There is more than a pun intended in that little sentence just written.
Two Tory MPs have made two statements over the weekend.
Both were heard and seen doing this on the BBC.
And the second Tory MP has also been extensively stated to have made a third comment which according to the publishers of the ‘news’ about THAT is even more serious.
One David Davis said that the 42 days detention thing by Brown was nothing to do with ‘terrorism’ at all. It was to show that the Brown lot was even more Rightwing than the Tories. David Davis did not use these words. But this is what he meant.
I shall be quoting Davis in full, and from the BBC's published item, in a later part of this commentary.
The second Tory, Ken Clarke, made his remarks on Sunday 25 January 2009. In his comments he said words that did not go as far as saying that certain members of the UK House of Peers were involved in corruption. Clarke suggested and implied
That people MIHT call the reported behaviour as corrupt [if evidence backed the charge].
The other comments that Clarke made contained a quoted reference to the UK being in the middle of a ‘national emergency’.
The reported item did not include a description of what Clarke was meaning by a ‘national emergency’.
In the absence of that information, it is necessary to refer to some other times and some other invocations of ‘national emergency’ by some other sets of politicians.
They mainly use the phrase or the two words or the equivalent/s thereof when they want to withhold giving evidence supporting their particular stance
On Thursday, the hugely-promoted American rightwing propagandist who has dominated a permanent slot on the BBC for the best part of the last 40 years, Janet Daly, was allowed to ‘let slip’ words suggesting that ‘democracy’ might or might not be suspended in Britain.
It was noticed that she was not challenged on that.
Given that the Janet Daly statement took place in the ‘Question Time’ programme on BBC TV – which edition was ‘commented on’ in the hour that followed and segments of that edition were broadcast again on the BBC News Channel; the fact that Janet Daly was not challenged is significant
And there has been no noticeable comment on the utterance in any print media since. The day of the broadcast
What these comments mean is that there is a two-faced strategy llowed to control people.
One is the excuse of a ‘national emergency’ which does not exist in truth but which is being hyped up.
The other is that the ‘national emergency’ can only be dealt with by suspending democracy. I define it as ‘democracy’. More on this aspect in a later part.
Now in inner city East End of London, these two component elements have been present for quite some time.
And the behaviour of the ‘local’ ‘democratically elected’ Tower Hamlets
Council as observed in the past six months shows that to be the case.

£5m bonuses at rescued banks

THE BOSSES of banks bailed out with taxpayers’ cash are to receive bonuses and shares worth up to £5m each.
Gordon Brown pledged last year that the “days of the big bonuses” were over as the government bailed out the crippled banking industry. Yet it has now emerged that many executives are getting the same bonus deals and free shares that were on offer before the credit crisis.
This weekend Lord Myners, the City minister, said some financiers had been “grossly overrewarded”. Opposition MPs, however, pointed out that Myners himself had been paid handsomely for his boardroom roles, including a directorship with a hedge fund that made money – legally – by short-selling Bradford & Bingley shares, now a nationalised bank.
Among the directors who have agreed new contracts to run companies propped up with public funds is Eric Daniels, who heads the new Lloyds Banking Group. The group is a merger of Lloyds TSB and HBOS, which is 43% owned by the government.

Daniels has agreed a new contract this month with almost the same terms he previously enjoyed as head of Lloyds TSB: a bonus worth up to 225% of his £1.03m salary and an annual allocation of free shares worth up to three times his salary.
Daniels will now have his bonus payable in shares rather than cash, to comply with the demands of ministers that no cash bonus be paid in the wake of the £5.5 billion state bailout. Lloyds says some other directors may be in line for bonuses this year, also in shares.
Defending the perks, the bank said: “Bonuses are only paid when [targets] are met. We are very confident that our executive remuneration scheme is very much in line with guidelines.”
At Bradford & Bingley, Richard Pym, the chief executive, is in line for a £187,000 bonus this year. About 1,100 staff will also receive a cash bonus of 9% of their salary in March, at a total cost of about £3.5m.

On Sunday 25 February 2007, in one of the sequences shown in a programme apparently fronted by Jeremy Clarkson himself and broadcast on BBC 2, a man was heard to say that he knew Jeremy Clarkson’s mother very well.
Then he was asked if he liked Clarkson himself. The man was evidently shocked to be asked such an obscene question. He clearly protested that he did not have to like Clarkson….Why would a man who a moment earlier in the interview had said that he lived quite close to Clarkson’s mother in the English Midlands and that he knew her very well, find it so gross as to be asked to say if he liked Clarkson himself?
Perhaps it is because Clarkson is so gross….and stupid and because of that it would be quite a liability to admit to liking him…
And no one better than Clarkson himself provides the clue as to why it should be so…
The word ‘crass’ does not begin to adequately represent the extent of stupidity, prejudice, ignorance and gross callousness that Jeremy Clarkson typifies. Generally speaking. But Clarkson’s stupidity and all the other elements that make up that embarrassment of a ‘personality’ become even more indescribable when he PRETENDS to know what he is talking about as he jumps onto the bandwagon of racists referring to ‘Tower Hamlets’ as if the area or the borough [or the what the racists mean] the main parts of it with significant populations from more than one background] Like the other odious racist backer of CRASSrail hole plot [Matthew Parris] who is touting for an assault on the East End of London [and doing the touting via the Rupert Murdoch media while also enjoying regular unwarranted slots at the licence-payers’ expense at the racistly-controlled and corruptly managed BBC], Jeremy Clarkson has decided to launch his own attacks on what he obviously thinks is a place which deserves even more attacks Tower Hamlets [To be continued]

Khoodeelaar! The Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 Area No to Crossrail hole Bill’ campaign has created a unique substantial analytical and historical database of references in the defence of the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 Area in the first place. The extent to which the ‘East London Idiotiser’ publishes LIES every week against the long and the short term interests and rights of the local people may vary from edition to edition. But the fact that the ‘East London Idiotiser’ lies, never ceases. That is one of the other compelling realities which make it utterly necessary for a campaign like Khoodeelaar! to have been founded and maintained.
The same applies to the FUNDED ‘community groups’, especially those that the likes of Christine Gilbert [who is one of the individuals that Khoodeelaar! has long identified as being engaged in the criminal violations of the rights of the community when she, Gilbert, played a key role in bringing into the East End of London the threat of the Crossrail hole plot] . A word about the phrase ‘FUNDED community groups’! These are the democratically unaccountable, unaudited, unrepresentative outfits which are used – or whose ‘project leaders and committees’ are used by the corrupt clique on the local Council and via it by the corrupt units and the corrupting units based within the establishment of the London mayor Ken Livingstone and in the Blairing ‘Government Office for London’ and in similar outfits within other UK Departments – to spy on the local communities in return for the slavish items of ‘grants’ that they are paid. If the quoted remarks by Jason Stacey are accurate and complete then Stacey is no better than Ken Livingstone.
How can Stacey say that there is no money to fund the tram route while he goes on to advise Livingstone to concentrate on Crossrail?
Crossrail will cost more than 20 times the costs of the Greenwich Millennium Dome! Where is that money going to come from?
And that is even before examining the alleged merits of Crossrail! Who says that London transport is going to be transformed by having a Crossrail ? Transport for London is itself a waste of money and resource. As is the GLA.
As is the mayor. What we need in London is responsible accountable democratic local policies which should be thoroughly examined and then a reasonable answer found to each need.
The waste of money that Linvs9snge has engaged in - like paying Bob KILEY millions of pounds for intimidating people has got to be the bigger problem.
Scrap Livingstone. Scarp the mayor.
Return the decisions to people whop actually speak for their own communities.

£5m bonuses at rescued banks

THE BOSSES of banks bailed out with taxpayers’ cash are to receive bonuses and shares worth up to £5m each.
Gordon Brown pledged last year that the “days of the big bonuses” were over as the government bailed out the crippled banking industry. Yet it has now emerged that many executives are getting the same bonus deals and free shares that were on offer before the credit crisis.
This weekend Lord Myners, the City minister, said some financiers had been “grossly overrewarded”. Opposition MPs, however, pointed out that Myners himself had been paid handsomely for his boardroom roles, including a directorship with a hedge fund that made money – legally – by short-selling Bradford & Bingley shares, now a nationalised bank.
Among the directors who have agreed new contracts to run companies propped up with public funds is Eric Daniels, who heads the new Lloyds Banking Group. The group is a merger of Lloyds TSB and HBOS, which is 43% owned by the government.

Daniels has agreed a new contract this month with almost the same terms he previously enjoyed as head of Lloyds TSB: a bonus worth up to 225% of his £1.03m salary and an annual allocation of free shares worth up to three times his salary.
Daniels will now have his bonus payable in shares rather than cash, to comply with the demands of ministers that no cash bonus be paid in the wake of the £5.5 billion state bailout. Lloyds says some other directors may be in line for bonuses this year, also in shares.
Defending the perks, the bank said: “Bonuses are only paid when [targets] are met. We are very confident that our executive remuneration scheme is very much in line with guidelines.”
At Bradford & Bingley, Richard Pym, the chief executive, is in line for a £187,000 bonus this year. About 1,100 staff will also receive a cash bonus of 9% of their salary in March, at a total cost of about £3.5m.

On Sunday 25 February 2007, in one of the sequences shown in a programme apparently fronted by Jeremy Clarkson himself and broadcast on BBC 2, a man was heard to say that he knew Jeremy Clarkson’s mother very well.
Then he was asked if he liked Clarkson himself. The man was evidently shocked to be asked such an obscene question. He clearly protested that he did not have to like Clarkson….Why would a man who a moment earlier in the interview had said that he lived quite close to Clarkson’s mother in the English Midlands and that he knew her very well, find it so gross as to be asked to say if he liked Clarkson himself?
Perhaps it is because Clarkson is so gross….and stupid and because of that it would be quite a liability to admit to liking him…
And no one better than Clarkson himself provides the clue as to why it should be so…
The word ‘crass’ does not begin to adequately represent the extent of stupidity, prejudice, ignorance and gross callousness that Jeremy Clarkson typifies. Generally speaking. If the quoted remarks by Jason Stacey are accurate and complete then Stacey is no better than Ken Livingstone.
How can Stacey say that there is no money to fund the tram route while he goes on to advise Livingstone to concentrate on Crossrail?
Crossrail will cost more than 20 times the costs of the Greenwich Millennium Dome! Where is that money going to come from?
And that is even before examining the alleged merits of Crossrail! Who says that London transport is going to be transformed by having a Crossrail ? Transport for London is itself a waste of money and resource. As is the GLA.
As is the mayor. What we need in London is responsible accountable democratic local policies which should be thoroughly examined and then a reasonable answer found to each need.
The waste of money that Linvs9snge has engaged in - like paying Bob KILEY millions of pounds for intimidating people has got to be the bigger problem.
Scrap Livingstone. Scarp the mayor.
Return the decisions to people whop actually speak for their own communities.
For the past decade Livingstone ahs aped and been aligned with Blair – despite noises to the contrary – in abolishing what remnants of local democracy there still were in the boroughs.
Now Livingstone is brazenly acting as the tout for City of London interests and Big Business interests. Crossrail is a Big Business project. It is not an initiative by and for the local communities. Or by ordinary users of public transport in London.
So think hard and look at the grisly, contradictory, untenable anti-social wasteful contents of the 'Crossrail Bill' and project before jumping on the Big Business propaganda bandwagon and aping the zombies and saying ‘let’s concentrate on CrossRail’.
Say, instead, let’s scrap Crossrail.
Use the public money to address real transport issues and other public needs in London.

The overwhelmingly, sick-making Crassly conceived and even more crassly plugged Crossrail hole Bill and project is one of three mala fide projects to be being imposed on the East End of London n at the behest of identifiably and identically corrupt and corrupting elements, interest and forces at work at the centre of the Blaring regime in the UK. The other two are the over hyped and corrosive ‘2012 Olympic’ and the Thames GITSway. ALL three monstrosities are being funded by the public. At huge expense to the present generations. And placing in debt several generations to come. All three obscenities are being propelled by the corruptor of London Ken Livingstone. And the others that are behind him are equally corrupt, lacking in basic democratic integrity. Not one of them is even remotely genuinely aware of the concept of fairness for the people who are pushed into and kept in involuntary poverty right across the area – also known s the former ‘Greater London’ [contaminated by the corruptor Ken when he had seized control of it within hours of the then Labour Party in London winning the last valid GLC election in 1981]. The combined cost of the three mega monstrosities will exceed in 2007 prices £100 billion of public money unless sense is allowed to emerge in the thinking of those who are in charge of making the decisions about where the main priorities of the economy are and where the real service needs remain almost starved due to lack of cash. Like key sectors in the NHS. Like key sectors in schooling [Oops! ‘British education’!] . Like key sectors in employment, housing and environmental protection…. And, shock horror, compliance with the UK’s own human rights commitments and obligations…. Instead of addressing and funding those real needs in society, the |Blaring regime has been wasting huge chuck of the public money bin funding mega crooks and criminal enterprises that are making the already hard up and the involuntarily deprived even more deprived and disenfranchised... And then they scream that there is so much lack of respect for life in this society... That there is so much gun crime and so on... What examples do the young ions have to follow? The very man who still occupies the seat at No 10 which by the UK's formal and de facto conventions is the highest public post in the country, has been exposed across London on a daily basis as the most dishonest one to have ever occupied that post in the recorded shortly of such things in these islands... So how odd is it for him to then embark on a series of totally cringe-making sick photo opportunity across south London parading his dishonest image as if anyone attaches any ounce of morality or ethics with him.... With Blair 'leading' the 'nation' there is no chance of accountability coming from those shifty creepy operatives around Blair's enterprise who are given the public money and the public positions... This massive mess that Blair has created in Britain and across the major parts of Asia and in some other strategic locations in the world during the past decade will take a very long time to sort out.... And Gordon Brown is a fool if he fails to read the writings ion the wall... Brown must start to scrap the monstrosities that Blair has for his own petty, selfish and anti-social reasons, foisted on the Treasury... How do you see the poverty agenda in the inner cities going, in the knowledge that yesterday the Mail On Sunday featured you as having received cash and other benefits of at least £1Million from the Tobacco lobby? Do you even have the capacity to recognise what poverty in the inner cities is? Can you relate to the ‘businesses; in the inner cities? What do you make of the ‘news’ in today’s’ UK media., promoting the ‘charity’ ‘Centre for Cities’ claiming that cities are set to experience hardship in the economic downturn and recession? Do you see the link between Hull and the Hamlets in inner city London? Have you even heard of Bechtel? Of course you have, Bechtel! They are referred to in a rare piece published in 'Private Eye' [in 2008] stating that they were the most influential 'force' in getting the ‘CrossRail Bill’ through the UK parliament which duly rubber stamped it into the ‘CrossRail Act’. ‘Private Eye’ also stated that the relevant link was an aide who in turn was linked with former holder of the post of UK Transport Secretary Douglas Alexander [who came into that post after Alistair Darling ,the 'Crossrail; Bill'-promoting holder of the same post in February 2005, had been shifted to the department that had Energy as part of its brief] was made aware of the poverty-creating implications of the CRASSrail scam. But whilst in office, Alexander failed to make any comments on poverty or on the wastefulness of CrossRail. Or on the diversionary role of the same.. ‘Private Eye’ stated that the Bechtel corporation of the USA employed one of Alexander’s former aides to act as the crucial lobbyist.
