Khoodeelaar! Told you so! You could not trust Boris Johnson to know the basic facts. And as this BBC clip [again] shows, Boris Johnson must be held to account on the references, assertions he makes on supposed factual issues. Like the latest round of his 'pleas' for Crossrail funding as addressed to David Cameron in the past week. If Boris Johnson doesn’t know – or even understand- what actually was going on between the “Cameron team” and the nick clegg team, how on earth could he know what actually is going on in the UK economy? Merely saying 'recession' is not enough. He has to show that he knows what activities constitute recession. What constitute deficit.

As Crossrail is a demonstrably wasteful, deficit-increasing adventure, Boris Johnson, logically would be expected to oppose it.

So why is he not being held to account by the BBC on his latest touting for Crossrail?
