0030 GMT London Monday 6 October 2008: KHOODEELAAR! No to Crossrail holes cam CAMPAIGN.....If ex [Metropolitan Police] officer Andy Hayman’s statement about the strange case of Gordon Brown’s revival of the 42 day detention ‘powers’ that even Tony Blair had abandoned as being too much is accurate and broadly true then it reinforces need for urgent constitutional scrutiny and dissection of Gordon Brown's utterances praising the wasteful, the obsolete and the and sound 'Crossrail' scam [To be continued]

KHOODEELAAR! updating the evidence of RUTH KELLY's career as a self-publicist, if the Timesonline plug to her is any guide [154]

But she is not going to come across as a mere self-publicist, especially in an weekend so dominated by the brazenness typified by and associated with Peter Mandelson.

Something quite important is being undermined by her utterances.

Especially about Crossrail!

If what she says in the quoted utterance is true then even RUTH KELLY is now confirming the analysis of CRASSrail as crass.... the analysis that KHOODEELAAR! has been making now for almost 5 years....

[To be continued]

The following is the first, brief. response to the Times newspaper online, london, that has just published another plug for Ruth kelly.

The CRASSness of the Crossrail scam is neatly contained in an utterance by Ruth kelly herself. That utterance will be fully examined in a later KHOODEELAAR! piece. First the preliminary response to the Timesonline plug for Ruth Kelly

You [The Times, London, web site] report Ruth Kelly as saying:
“The children were very proud. They were always excited when I was in the news. On the day that my resignation was announced they didn't know whether it was more exciting that I was going to spend more time with them or that I was on the front page of the free Crossrail newspaper that was being handed out to every child in their school.”
‘Free Crossrail newspaper’, neatly sums up the wasteful orientation of the Crossrail hole plot backers. They don’t account for their conduct in spending public money. Ruth Kelly failed to show any independently objectively verifiable evidence that there was a demand among ordinary people not connected with the Big Business spin and the City of London vested interests for a  Crossrail project in London. Even Rod Eddington, whom Gordon Brown himself had appointed to ‘study’ the railways in the country, did NOT recommend Crossrail. What would be genuinely exciting and prudent would be a recognition by Ruth Kelly that she played to the agenda of the very Big Business who have brought about the ‘global financial crisis’.
