Khoodeelaar! Told Boris Johnson so! For three years, starting in the summer of 2007 when bojo began to spread the word that he would be seeking election to the office in the onion in London se1, we have said that CrossRail was crass. That it was a diversion away from the transport needs and priorities in London. That CrossRail was a big business scam. That it was a looters' scam devised to enable big business to loot the UK public.... Boris Johnson has not spoken one single word about the allegations we have made against the peddlers, the touts and about the ‘MIC’ [=Military Industrial Complex] behind the CrossRail scam. Now, all of a sudden the “EVENING STANDARD” runs an item that has Boris Johnson appearing as if he has just found out some deeply concealed and unknown secret. As if “Boris has been digging into the holes hidden from public gaze and has overnight uncovered remains of the victims of bullies that have been perpetrating their violations under cover of CrossRail! And the “EVENING STANDARD” assigned their prize architecture correspondent to report the historic discovery by Boris Johnson” ! This is an act of fabrication by the “EVENING STANDARD”. For years the “EVENING STANDARD” has published fanatic lies for CRASSrail. And over the dame period the paper has suppressed ALL news and info on the massive flaws of the CRASSrail scam project. It has lied and lied and lied in robotic, plastic fashion aping the line and repeating the lies of Big Business Crossrail scam. It has published in the years between 2003 and 2008 literally hundreds of lying plugs for Crossrail while knowingly and wrongfully suppressing the facts its executive editor Anne McElvoy knew to be the truth about Crossrail…The EVENING STANDARD broke all codes of ethics of journalism as it peddled Crossrail. As did the academic touts and parliamentary placemen and women that Big Business had installed to get the Crossrail Bill; PASSAGED through the Palace of Ghostsminster... Khoodeelaar! has been investigating the CRASSrail scam for over six years and all the findings point to the origins of the plot as intended to be implemented through the Crossrail scam as being Big Business. It follows that the phrase disrupt, devastate and dislocate that we had devised in the context of our defence of the Brick Lane London E1 area against the Crossrail holes-infliction now applies across London and in relation to every real aspect of the Crossrail railroading. Boris Johnson has been forced to intervene after claims that Crossrail is bullying homeowners into selling their properties.
Scores of homes around Dean Street in Soho are due to be knocked down to make way for Crossrail, and residents told the Mayor the company behind the east-west rail link was intimidating them into selling their homes cheaply and delaying payments.
They said they were horrified when people working for the developer were found rummaging through other residents' belongings after serving notices to enter the properties.
The police were called on 13 January when one intruder refused to show worried neighbours his ID. He admitted to officers he worked for Crossrail and they took no further action.
As the row escalated, residents turned to a local priest who contacted the Mayor to request his help.
In response to one case of alleged intimidation, Mr Johnson left an answering machine message for Father Alexander Sherbrooke of St Patrick's catholic church in Soho Square which said: “I have received your blood-curdling information about your parishioner Michael Pritchett. Of course I will take this up. I will get onto TfL and to Crossrail and find out what on earth is going on. Thank you very much for alerting me to this.”
The Mayor's transport adviser Kulveer Ranger, then contacted the chief executive of Crossrail, Rob Holden, to warn that such behaviour was not acceptable. He also spoke to Mr Pritchett to give him personal assurances.
A City Hall source said: “Boris told Kulveer to rap Crossrail's CEO across the knuckles because he does not want an important project to be damaged by the actions of a few people. He intends to make sure this kind of bad behaviour stops.”
A spokesman for the Mayor said: “Kulveer Ranger confirmed that he had been reassured by Crossrail that they would ensure that its staff handle all matters relating to property acquisitions necessary for the construction of the rail link, fairly and sensitively.”
The £16 billion rail link is due to be completed by 2017 and will run from Maidenhead andHeathrow in the west, under central London to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.
Crossrail today confirmed it has spoken to the Mayor's office but refused to comment on allegations of bullying and intimidation. A spokesman for Crossrail said: “The Mayor has raised the concerns of residents with us and he has been assured that they are being treated sensitively, fairly and responsibly. Crossrail takes very seriously the concerns of all residents affected by the construction of this project.
“Compulsory purchase, while difficult for individuals affected, is necessary to ensure Crossrail proceeds on time and budget. We have assured the Mayor that we will do everything we can to assist affected residents.”
